our vision

At Agape we share the following vision of worshiping God and bringing glory to His name.

Love the Lord... Love your neighbor...

"… Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' … 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these." (Matt 12:29-31)

Glory to God

"Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name … worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness." (1 Chr 16:29) · "…whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." (1 Cor 10:31) · "Glorify the LORD with me; let us exalt his name together." (Psa 34:3)

In the beginning of time, God created the universe in which we live. He created every living thing, including you and I with our unique capacity to freely worship and bring honor and glory to Him. This is our highest calling, our eternal pursuit, our final destiny.

Intimate Relationship with Jesus Christ

"Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’" (John 14:6) · "He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. " (1 John 5:12) · "Remain in me, and I will remain in you. … Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me." (John 15:4)

The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ provides the only way for you and I to relate to God. Many would suggest other paths, however, Jesus clearly taught there is but one way to the Father. In addition, as believers in Jesus, we freely receive the Holy Spirit who gives us power to experience life abundantly.

Worship - Communing with our God

"Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth." (John 4:23-24)

Evangelism - Sharing Christ with others

"This is good and pleases God our Savior, who wants all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim 2:3-4)

Discipleship - Becoming like Jesus

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations … teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (Matt 28:19-20)

Fellowship - Sharing our lives with each other

"We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard, so that you also may have fellowship with us … We write this to make our joy complete." (1 John 1:3-4)

Missions - Taking Christ to the world

"…And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news’” (Rom 10:14-15)

Church Planting - Giving other communities what we have

"Paul and Barnabas appointed elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to the Lord, in whom they had put their trust" (Acts 14:23)
